Rice or Jollof Rice
The list of common Nigerian food would never be complete without mentioning rice. Let’s not get into which tribe it's peculiar to (because I don’t know, left for me it’s a “no tribe’s food”) because the food is consumed in nearly all Nigerian homes, both rich and poor.
Rice is prepared as jollof rice, white rice, fried rice, etc. no matter version you wish. This food has a stronghold on Nigerians, hence its quality.
Garri
This Nigerian food is made from cassava. Let’s get real, this food is said to have been saving African country from hunger or starvation since God knows when. It doesn't take time to prepare, IJEBU GARRI has been suggested over time with cold water, groundnut, sugar (optional) and milk (optional).
Soaked garri is taken with anything from groundnut, Kuli Kuli to coconut et al. it's also used to make Eba or garri, no matter name you prefer, that you'll eat with any soup of your choice. there's the white version and also the yellow or red version.
Moi Moi (or Moin Moin)
Moi Moi is a Nigerian food that may be copied to the Yorubas. it's prepared from the mixture of wet processed raw beans and onions and pepper, garnished with fish, beef, liver, etc. and steamed, although some individuals bake it.
Ever heard of the mixture of jollof rice and Moi Moi at the Owambes, especially? I did wonder if these 2 were indivisible until I started seeing other combination of this dish with pap (akamu or koko), bread.
